Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) remains a pervasive global issue, affecting millions of girls and women worldwide.

200M+ girls and women alive today have undergone FGM.

FGM is carried out on young girls aged 15 and below.

30+ countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia practice FGM.

Our FGM Zero Project is dedicated to providing safe havens and educational opportunities for girls at risk of female genital mutilation. Through community engagement and empowerment, we are fostering a future where every girl can thrive without fear.

  • Through our FGM Zero, we are empowering young girls and women through our Legal Letter Initiative, funded by FGM Zero’s Anti-FGM Legal Fund.
  • The girls are issued with legal letters detailing the consequences of Female Genital Mutilation to take home to their legal parents/guardians.
  • Our goal is to empower the girls to initiate dialogue within families, providing parents with legal knowledge to make informed choices that prioritize the well-being and rights of their children.
